Q: What is Hillside House of Hell?
   A: Hillside House of Hell is the newest & largest haunted house in Iowa! Originally built in 1964, this abandoned asylum has been transformed into a 50,000sqft beast featuring 4 terrifying attractions!

Q: Do you take debit/credit card?
   A: YES! Save time, money, and skip the ticket lines by purchasing your tickets ONLINE! We also accept cards on-site.

Q: Where are you located?
   A: We are located at 114 Green Street in Glenwood, Iowa. Only 25 minutes from downtown Omaha!

Q: Is Hillside House of Hell scary?
   A: Hell yeah! We've created an experience unlike anything around. You will witness one-of-a-kind sets, intense visual images, tons of props & animatronics, and much more!

Q: Do I have to wear a Covid-19 face mask?
   A: Face masks are not required.

Q: Are there strobe lights?

A: YES! We have many effects in use throughout our attractions such as strobe lights, fog, lasers, loud music, sudden noises, and (at times) uneven floors.

Q: Does Hillside House of Hell offer refunds?
   A: ABSOLUTELY NOT! We do NOT offer refunds or returns for any reason! If you lose your ticket (or ticket stub) you must purchase another. No exceptions.

Q: If I’m too scared to go through can I get a refund?
   A: Again, NO REFUNDS. You’re here to get scared & we plan on making that happen!

Q: How long does it take to get through Hillside House of Hell?
   A: On average Hillside House of Hell takes anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes to get through depending on how fast your group moves, where most other haunted attractions take around 5-10 minutes to complete.

Q: How many people can enter per group?
   A: Maximum group size is 6 people.

Q: How long is the line for Hillside House of Hell?
   A: Depends on a few factors. Friday’s & Saturday’s are the BUSIEST times for any haunt. Expect to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours during those days. We do as much as we can to keep the line moving as fast as possible while ensuring
a quality show for everyone walking through.

Weekdays are almost guaranteed to be no longer than a 30 minute wait!
IF YOU HATE WAITING IN LINES, COME TO HILLSIDE HOUSE OF HELL ON A WEEKNIGHT!
Or simply purchase a “Fast Pass” or “Immediate Access Pass”!


Q: Do you offer a Fast Pass?
   A: Yes! Fast Pass is available at the ticket booth for an extra cost. Keep in mind on busy nights there may be a short wait for Fast Pass ticket holders due to high demand.

Q: Do you offer Immediate Access?
   A: Yes! For an extra cost, you may purchase an “Immediate Access” ticket to eliminate the wait in line. Bypass the stand-by line AND the Fast Pass line.
 If you have an Immediate Access ticket, then you’re next to go in.

Q: Is there an age limit for Hillside House of Hell?
   A: Hillside House of Hell permits all ages, but keep in mind you will experience intense visual images, uneven paths, and loud noises. Parental discretion is strongly advised!

Q: Can the monsters touch you inside the haunt?
   A: ABSOLUTELY NOT! Do not touch the monsters or props and they won’t touch you! Failure to abide by this rule results in immidiate removal without a refund.

Q: Can I take pictures/video of Hillside House of Hell?
   A: We do not allow photos or videos of any kind inside the attractions. Feel free to take as many photos/videos of the exterior as you’d like!

Q: Do you have any social media pages?
   A: Yes! Check them out! Facebook / Instagram / Twitter / Snapchat

Q: What are prohibited items?
   A: NO BAGS! No weapons of any kind. No drugs. No Smoking/Vaping. No alcoholic beverages.
You will be removed from the premises if any of these items are found with you.

We have officers, security, and metal detection on site at all times.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone for any reason.


Q: How long has Hillside House of Hell been around?
   A: Sept. 25th, 2020 was our GRAND OPENING!

UPDATED BAG POLICY!
Hillside House of Hell does not allow oversized purses or backpacks to be brought into our attractions or queue lines.
If you have a smaller purse or bag it is subject to search.
Please leave all of these items safely locked in your cars or at home.
If you attempt to enter with an oversized bag, our security staff will ask you to return these items to your car.
The only exception to this are clutch wallets & those with legitimate medical bags/equipment.
Those items will be allowed but simply need to be searched before entering.
We already do not allow lighters, alcohol, or weapons of any kind and adding a no bag policy helps prevent these items getting smuggled inside.
